2 DAY TOURS

Nomadic Adventure at Gun Galuut Nature Reserve

(Date: June to August)

Trip Summary

Gun Galuut Reserve, nestled in the scenic valley of the Kherlen River near the Khentii Mountains, was established in 2003 to protect the region’s rich biodiversity. The reserve is home to a variety of nationally and globally endangered species, including Argali sheep, Siberian cranes, White-naped cranes, Black vultures, and Swan geese. In the early 2000s, marmots, once extinct in the valley, were successfully reintroduced. The mountains of Baits and Berkh provide a vital sanctuary for these remarkable species, making the reserve a true haven for wildlife.
