Discount Program for Students and Rangers

Discount Overview

To celebrate Mongolia Quest’s 10th anniversary, we’re excited to offer eligible students and rangers a 50% discount on select educational and conservation tours through the Mongolian Learning Academy! The discount applies to trips with at least four full-paying participants and is limited to two discounted spots per trip, ensuring a balanced, immersive experience.

This initiative aims to make these impactful journeys more accessible to individuals who are passionate about conservation and Mongolian studies, fostering a deeper understanding and dedication to preserving environment and heritage.

Eligibility Criteria

For Students

To qualify for our discount policy, students must meet the following criteria:

  • Area of Study: Graduate students specializing in Archaeology, Ornithology, Mongolian Studies, or closely related fields.
  • Academic Contribution: Actively conducting research on Mongolia or planning to contribute to Mongolian studies.
  • Promotion of Mongolia Quest: Willing to participate in a post-tour promotional activity, such as a blog post or social media feature.
For Rangers

Rangers can apply for our discount policy if they meet the following criteria:

  • Field Experience: A minimum of five years of experience in national park or wildlife conservation.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Willing to engage in knowledge-sharing activities with Mongolian rangers, such as workshops, presentations, or a written report.
  • Similar Topography and Wildlife: Must be from countries with similar topography and wildlife to Mongolia.
  • Promotion of Mongolia Quest: Committed to participating in a post-tour promotional activity, such as a blog post or social media feature.

Application Process

Eligible participants must submit their applications at least 120 days before their desired tour date. To apply, please email [email protected] with the subject line ‘Mongolian Learning Academy.’

Applicants should include the following documents:

  • CV
  • Cover letter proving eligibility
  • For Students
    • Include at least one reference from a professor or academic advisor who can attest to your academic contributions and commitment to Mongolian studies.
    • Published thesis, paperwork, or research. 
    • A brief personal statement (500 words) describing what they hope to gain from the experience and how it aligns with their academic or professional goals in Mongolian studies.
  • For Rangers:
    • Include a reference from your current or former management who can verify your experience in wildlife conservation and your willingness to engage in knowledge-sharing activities.
    • Knowledge-sharing plan with fellow Mongolian rangers. 

Approval Process:

Once submitted, applications will undergo a vetting process. Study leaders for each trip will review and approve prospective participants. The study leader decides whether an applicant is accepted based on essays, references, and how well their profile aligns with the trip’s objectives.

Applicants will be notified of their approval status via email at least 90 days before the selected trip.
