The list included the following countries: Bolivia, Namibia, Cuba, Turkey, Mongolia, Madagascar, Peru, the Maldives, Malta, Laos, Botswana, South Africa, Uzbekistan, Columbia, Hungary, and Tanzania.
About Mongolia, the article said, “The country known for its great vast lands is the world’s most sparsely populated country (the population is 20 times less than the UK population). A journalist for Telegraph Travel Terry Richardson wrote, “Big Sky Country would be an inadequate sobriquet for Mongolia. For this enormous landlocked country of the green steppe, vast flat plains, intricately braided rivers, electric-blue highland lakes, snow-licked mountains, dense pine forests and shifting desert is presided over by a skyscape of such bold blue immensity it beggars description.”
