    TRIP SUMMARY

    On this exciting journey, you will be able to imagine yourself being a part of a camel caravan crisscrossing the mighty Gobi Desert. You will ride horses along with descendants of Chinggis and Khubilai Khaan on their home turf. And as a bonus will have a chance to witness the famed Golden Eagle festival in the farwestern province of Bayan Olgii. The Golden Eagle Festival is one of the most anticipated cultural events of local Kazakhs. Every year, both the eagle and the hunter prepare for not only the hunting season but to compete in the annual festival. Winning the games is a prestigious and milestone event in the life of an eagle hunter.  Some of the participants come from as far as 250 kms away.  Join us on this epic journey to experience the best of Mongolian Panoramas!

    Brief Daily Itinerary

    Day 1. Arrival in Ulaanbaatar

    Enjoy a short city tour followed by a welcome dinner at a fine local restaurant

    Day 2. Ulaanbaatar

    Spend one full day exploring the sight and sounds of Ulaanbaatar.

    Day 3-6. Lake Hovsgol

    We will spend these days at the magnificent Lake Hovsgol, hiking and horseback riding along its shoreline.

    Day 7-9. Gobi Desert

    Visit the vast Gobi Desert and explore its diverse ecosystems, mountains, valleys, desert basins and sand dunes. Enjoy riding two-humped Mongolian camels.

    Day 10-15. Altai Mountains and Golden Eagle Festial

    Fly to the towering Altai Mountains and meet local Kazakh hunters. Attend the Golden Eagle Festival.

    Day. 16-17 Ulaanbaatar

    Fly back to Ulaanbaatar and transfer to the airport for your next phase of adventure.

    Hotel Ulaanbaatar is conveniently located in downtown Ulaanbaatar and is a very well established hotel with a friendly staff. All major atractions of UB are located with a walking distance of the hotel.

    Ger camps

    Outside of Ulaanbaatar, we will stay at cozy and authentic ger camps with western bathroom and restaurant facilities. Most visitors find staying in gers as one of the highlights of their trip to Mongolia.

    Land Transportation:

    Land transportation is provided by Toyota Land Cruiser jeeps seating  3 passangers per vehicle. Some roads can be bumby and hard but our drivers are some of the most experienced and reliable in the country.
